I’ve been talking to the publisher who is reprinting the SKINNERS series and boy am I excited! The first book, Blood Blade, will be available sooner than I thought. Right now, it looks like we’ll be seeing the new edition before the end of this year! Wooo!!!
I was pitching some ideas for the cover, which really got my blood flowing. I think SKINNERS has what it takes to make a much bigger splash with this second chance. Let’s face it, the originals coming out in the middle of Twilight fever didn’t do them any favors. At the time, I thought it would be good to have something for people who wanted a bit more rippin’ and tearing with their werewolves. Instead, most people just asked when the hunters would start hooking up with the monsters. Oy.
Another big plus is that it is so much easier now to put out books without a major publisher. Of course, it would be great to be under the wing of a major house, but it’s not a necessity anymore. If none of the big boys want to play with me, I’ll put it out there myself! I just need you guys to buy the books! As far as that goes, I’m doing my best to offer something worth reading.
Anyway, SKINNERS is on its way back and I have some brand-new projects in that world in mind. I’ll be starting in on one within the next few months and the other will be coming along after that. More details later. This series has always been special to me and it feels awesome to get back to it. Between this and my newer stuff, it feels great to finally do all the stuff I’ve been wanting to do and actually getting it out there.
